The South Gulf Umpires Association, established in the 1970s, delivers baseball umpiring services to public and private schools across five counties in southwest Florida. Committed to excellence, the Association provides competent umpires for 30 high schools in Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, Glades, and Highlands Counties. A seven-member Board of Directors guides the organization while ensuring members stay informed about rule changes and on-field mechanics. Through its initiatives, the Association enhances umpiring skills and actively contributes to the community. Whether individuals are new to umpiring or seeking to elevate their skills, the South Gulf Umpires Association provides comprehensive training and support to help them achieve their goals.

The association has consistently provided umpiring crews for the State Baseball Championship series, demonstrating their commitment to excellence.
